A THREE Towns pupil has been praised for her colourful efforts to brighten up the beach in Ardrossan.
Stanley Primary pupil Isla helped to paint her winning design at the South Beach Milepost after winning a competition.
Lesley Richardson of Ardrossan Connections said: “To help brighten up South Beach, the Ardrossan Connections team ran an art competition for school aged pupils last month to redesign the colours of the South Beach Milepost.
“The winner was Isla from P4 at Stanley Primary School and she helped to paint the winning design. This is part of the work Sustrans are doing to preserve the mileposts across the country.
“Ardrossan Connections, which launched in January, aims to improve the experience for everyone using National Cycle Routes going through Ardrossan whether they choose to walk, cycle or wheel, and spending time in the centre of Ardrossan.
“There will be more community engagement on the designs coming in the new year, so be sure to look out for details of these in the next few months
Congratulations to Isla for her great work in brightening up the shoreline area in the town.
