Kilwinning’s Christmas Lights switch-on will be back for 2021 after the much-loved event had to be cancelled during coronavirus lockdown measures.

Woodwynd West carpark will be closed from 4.30pm on Wednesday, December 1 for the funfair ahead of the big night on Thursday, December 2

Kilwinning Main Street will be closed to motorists from 10.30am to allow for stalls and rides to be setup.

•4:30pm – Santa’s Grotto, stalls and Funfair opens

•5.15pm – DJ Coby on stage

•6pm – Sain Clark on stage

•6.30pm – Mark Findlay on stage

•7pm – Lights Switch on (Please note there will be a very short eight second pyrotechnics display at the stage when the lights are turned on)

•7.30pm – Mark Findlay

•9pm – Funfair closes

Blair Kerr, Promoting Kilwinning organiser, said: “The event has now been rescheduled with the fairground, Santa’s Grotto etc and we will be ready to go.

“Please note that we are a voluntary group relying on local peoples support. If you want to get involved in next years event, please contact us.
