SATURDAY saw one of the biggest events of the year in Ardrossan - the annual festive lights switch-on.
The fun began at 4pm with a fairground and craft stalls at Castle Hill Car Park.
The extremely colourful Santa parade left from Hill Street at 4.30pm ahead of the switch on at 4.45pm.
This was followed by live performances at Castle Hill Car Park.
