A THREE Towns post office and store have said a big thanks to their customers as the team get ready to stay open to deliver supplies this Christmas amid the pandemic.

Robin Bawa, who runs the Stevenston Post Office and store, said his team will be ready to get items out to this self-isolating and reminding customers that they can help with day-today banking services as well.

He said: “I thought it would nice to give a big thank you for everyone for using the postal services.

“A lot of banking is also available, everyone’s aware so many branches are shutting and have shut over the years.

“A lot of people are not aware they can do their day-to-day banking with the post office, and there is the free to use cash machine inside.

“We’ve been doing hampers and selling raffle tickets to raise money for charity and raised £400 – we’re going to split it with Cancer Research UK and Women’s Aid.

“We will be delivering and we are on the Snappy Shopper platform as a delivery service.

"We are delivering literally everyday, Christmas day, Boxing Day with supermarkets closed.

“Given the circumstances with coronavirus on the rise again if people are socially distancing and staying indoors we are happy to help and deliver the goods to them.”

Robin revealed: “We are doing deliveries from 10am-4pm Christmas day.

“Without the community small stores like ourselves would be nothing, so we are always thankful to our customers for the continued support especially during the hard times we’ve encountered the past year and a half adjusting to new rules and regulations.

“Our staff have worked tirelessly and struggled through putting themselves at risk.”
