A teenager has been arrested after a violent disturbance at New Year left a woman injured in Kilwinning.
Police were called to Ladyford Avenue at 1.45am on Saturday [January 1] with one resident reporting a 'mass battle' at a property during Hogmanay and several police vans seen in the area.
Officers have today [January 3] confirmed a woman was left with minor injuries after the incident while police inquiries continue.
A 17-year old male is due to appear in court.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received report of a disturbance on Ladyford Avenue in Kilwinning around 1.45am on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
"One woman sustained minor injuries and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
"A 17-year-old man has been arrested."
