Shop owners of West Kilbride will have an opportunity to makeover their store as a new scheme is launched.
North Ayrshire Council’s Shopfront Improvement Scheme has a budget of £140,000 and the council is inviting expressions of interest from those in the town centre or retailing boundary.
It is anticipated the grant scheme will be for 100 per cent funding of agreed improvement works, up to a maximum level per property unit.
Councillor Joe Cullinane, leader of North Ayrshire Council, said: “Our town centres are huge assets and this scheme will encourage West Kilbride to diversify and flourish.
“We look forward to hearing from many local businesses and seeing the work unfold.”
The level of grant funding available to each property will be subject to the total number of projects, priority assessment, extent and scope of works, tender returns and available funding.
Expressions of interest should be sent no later than Wednesday, January 19, and these can be emailed to regeneration@north-ayrshire.gov.uk or posted to the Regeneration Team, North Ayrshire Council, Cunninghame House, Irvine KA12 8EE.
