Three members of a Saltcoats Karate club have been selected for the Scotland squad to compete at the upcoming European Championships.
Shibumi Karate Club based at the Training Station (TTS), recently held a National Squad Session for JKA Scotland (Japan Karate Association Scotland).
The session was hosted by Sensei John Deans 5th Dan JKA, who is the Scotland Head coach and is based at TTS.
The session made initial selections for the upcoming European Championships in Sursee, Switzerland in April.
Three members of the Saltcoats based club, showed their worth against the countries best students to earn their spot in the squad.
They included James Campbell who is a 3rd Dan from Ardrossan. Kyle Bruce who is a 2nd Dan from Saltcoats and Kian McLaughlin who is a 1st Dan from West Kilbride.
If any readers are interested in joining Shibumi Karate Club, then the club has offered an open invitation to pop into TTS on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday at around 7pm to watch or take part in their classes.
