WHAT could have been A popular Arran summer food and drink festival has cancelled it’s 2022 event.

Arran Vegan Festival was all set to host the annual event on July 23 and 24 at Arran High School, Lamlash, however due to family circumstances the hosts have had to call of this year’s arrangements.

The festival celebrates the exponential growth of the vegan and plantbased lifestyle, with surveys estimating a range from 2.2 million to 3.5 million vegans in the UK by the end of this year.

Organisers aim to showcase Arran’s vegan offerings, and to inform, educate and inspire the Arran community and visitors to the island about the potential benefits of the vegan lifestyle.

Events and activities planned included inspirational and informative talks, food and vegan product stalls and films.

The festival was set to show a screening of “73 Cows” - a BAFTA award winning short film on veganism, as well as talks from vegan health founders Dave Sheahan, Barbara Bolton, Keith Robertson, Nicola Dee Kelly and Dr Laura Freeman.
