TICKETS for a popular Arran poetry festival are now on sale.

The 2022 McLellan Poetry Fringe Festival will wake place over the weekend of April 29 to May 1 and will see events including poetry workshops, readings and spoken word evenings take place.

The annual arts festival was created in honour of Robert McLellan, an Arran resident most of his life and important Scottish dramatist and short story writer.

A Junior Poetry Competition will take place, with all entrants invited to read their works on Saturday, April 30 at the festival, where winners and commended entries will also be announced.

Open to all ages 16 and under who are ordinarily resident on Arran.

A McLellan Poetry statement said: “We are really excited to announce that tickets are now on sale for the 2022 McLellan Poetry Fringe Festival.

"Tickets can be bought individually or a Season ticket will get you access to all events apart from the two workshops which need to be booked separately please.”
