Ayrshire hospitality group, SimpsInns, has launched a new recruitment campaign to attract over 20 young people to the industry this spring as it emerges from the devastating impact of the pandemic.

The initiative aims to encourage those aged 18 to 30 to take the next step in their careers and become part of Ayrshire’s hospitality and tourism industry.

Lee, 28, and Jack Simpson, 25, sons of SimpsInns founders and directors, Malcolm and Karen Simpson, are campaign ambassadors.

Lee said: “We’re really keen to get the message out there that young people within Ayrshire and around Scotland have the opportunity to play an important role in helping the struggling hospitality sector get back on its feet after the damaging impact of the pandemic.

"Employing committed, talented and enthusiastic staff will be an important part of that process at SimpsInns.

Jack Simpson added:“We now have over 20 roles available, including chefs, front of house, spa therapists and operations managers.”

A recruitment open day is being held at The Waterside Hotel from 6pm to 8pm today, Wednesday.
