Ardrossan Castle Heritage Society are consulting the community on their proposals to have a small heritage hub on Castle Hill.

The hub would provide a multipurpose indoor space for events and visits, accessible toilets, light refreshments and indoor shelter on Castle Hill providing panoramic views towards Arran and the Clyde

The hub could be used to increase tourism in Ardrossan, providing tours of the Castle, medieval church and graveyard.

It could also be used for educational visits by school children and adults, historic talks and events, provide a meeting place for local clubs and groups, and opportunities to learn science, history and archaeology.

A spokesperson for the Ardrossan Castle Heritage Society said: “If you are part of a community group, somebody that lives in the town, nearby or far away, if you have visited the castle before - or never - this survey is for you.

“We want to hear your views to help develop the proposal and look forward to hearing your views.”
