PLANS have been submitted to North Ayrshire Council which would see the erection of six semi-detached bungalows in a currently derelict area of Stevenston.

The proposed site (highlighted in the above right picture) is situated at Lumsden Place, off the roundabout which currently allows access to Hayocks Primary School.

The application would also see the creation of eight parking spaces for the buildings.

The Stevenston site previously had permission granted for the creation of eight two-storey dwellings in 2016, though this never came to fruition.

The applicant says they want to “address the void in the urban fabric” on this site which has lain empty for several years.
