THE Garnock Valley is to host a free to enter community event dedicated to the emergency services and local organisations.

The event is aimed at not only celebrating these groups and services, but also informing the public about them and what they do.

The event is due to take place on Saturday, August 20, from 11am until 4pm at the Kilbirnie ambulance station on Paddockholm Road, so there is plenty of time to prepare for it.

Entry into the event is free, so it would make for a perfect family day out.

Already announced to be in attendance are a range of emergency service teams from Kilbirnie, Beith and Dalry such as the fire, ambulance, police and coastguard services.

Further to this, numerous community groups and volunteers from across the Garnock Valley are also due to set up stall at the event.

There is still time for anyone from the area who wishes to have a stall and give out information at the event to do so.

Just contact Joel Gray on Facebook for more information, as soon as possible. There are some specific criteria to fulfil but don’t let this put you off.
