A DALRY man has been fined more than £500 for damaging his former partner’s car during an abusive rant earlier this year.
Garry Friels was found to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner during the incident at a property in Baidland Avenue on February 12.
Charges against the 52-year-old stated that he shouted and swore at his ex and placed her in a state of fear and alarm.
He was also found to have wilfully or recklessly destroyed or damaged property belonging to the woman by repeatedly kicking her car and throwing a coping stone - used to cap a free-standing wall - at the vehicle, causing damage to it.
At Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week Friels was fined £520.
