NORTH Ayrshire Council has published its expenses report for the session 2021-22, revealing how much each councillor claimed.
The total amount of expenses claimed throughout the recorded time was relatively low, just £5,017.65.
Expenses claimed varied from councillor to councillor, from two who claimed nothing at all, to the highest total - over £950.
That was claimed by then SNP councillor for Stevenston (now the Saltcoats and Stevenston ward) Davina McTiernan.
A majority of her expenses came from car and van mileage, which saw £924.30 claimed of the £957.43 total.
Councillors Alan Hill, SNP councillor for the North Coast and Cumbraes, and Louise McPhater, Labour councillor for Irvine West, both claimed no expenses.
A large proportion of councillors claimed their only expenses in the form of telephone and ICT.
In this category, Jim Montgomerie (then councillor for Saltcoats) claimed the largest amount back - £136.92. This was well above the average £37.21 claimed across the board.
