TWO men from Beith have been released on bail and are facing multiple charges including assault and possession of a weapon.
These relate to reports of a disturbance on New Street in Stevenston on Thursday, June 16.
Baillie Wilson, 22, faces allegations of assault leading to injury and carrying an offensive weapon.
While Andrew Bailley, 36, faces the same allegations, plus additional claims of behaving in a threatening or abusive behaviour likely to cause fear and alarm, and a breach of bail conditions.
Both faced the charges when they made their first appearance in Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, June 17.
Bailley and Wilson entered no plea, and will return to court at a later date.
