A BEITH man will be sentenced later this month after being convicted of two sexual offences.

Aaron McGregor admitted intentionally causing a woman to look at a sexual image after sending her an indecent photo on February 3, 2020.

The offence was aggravated by involving his partner or ex partner.

On the same day, from his own address in the town’s Mains Avenue, McGregor also disclosed a photograph which showed or appeared to show the woman in an intimate situation and which had not previously been disclosed to the public at large by her or with her consent.

The 32-year-old sent an indecent photo purporting to be the woman to her mother, and the charge against him stated that “in doing so he intended to cause her, or he was reckless as to whether she would be caused, fear, alarm or distress”.

McGregor pleaded guilty to both charges against him.

At Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week sentence was deferred until July 25.
