AN ARDROSSAN wind turbine has gone up in smoke - bringing back memories of a similar incident after the infamous 'hurricane bawbag'.
The turbine was spotted billowing with smoke at around 5pm today, July 22.
Back in December 2011, a windmill at the same farm, at the top of Dalry Road, was decimated after a fire broke out due to the gale force winds.
While this blaze does not appear to be of the same magnitude, it has brought back several comparisons to the incident over a decade ago.
The incident, at the time of writing, was not yet under control.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for comment.
