NORTH Ayrshire police enjoyed doing something a little bit different last week, as they spent a day with Sergeant Blackley in Arran.
Sgt Blackley has spent over 25 years policing on the island, in what cops described as a “unique and enviable role”.
Arran is one of North Ayrshire’s six different policing localities, with a dedicated team based in Lamlash.
Officers who were visiting the island took the time to experience the different challenges policing in a rural location entails.
This included greeting locals and visitors coming off the ferry to help with queries and responding to regular day to day calls.
