A TEAM of talented hair specialists from a Saltcoats salon proved they were a cut above the rest after claiming three golds and one silver at The British Hair and Beauty Awards 2022.

An online ceremony was held at the end of July as professional industry judges assessed entries from across the UK.

And it was a successful night for Abundance Hair and Beauty as they achieved their best result over the 11 years since the business opened in Hamilton Street.

Vicky Bryce won gold for best bridal hair in the Scotland region, while Amy McWhinnie won gold for creative artist of the year and Tracie Henderson earned gold in the hair stylist of the year category. Chloe Gemmell won a silver award for rising star.

Vicky said: “Proud is an understatement, there are no words to express how incredibly grateful I am to be surrounded by such a talented bunch of girls at Abundance.

“We have overcome so much together and grown stronger as a team and the proof is in the pudding with smashing this year’s awards.

“We would love to to say a massive thanks to all of our customers and friends and family for supporting us and being part of our journey.

“Never in a million years did I think we could accomplish all of this.

“What a journey it has been. These have truly been the best years yet.”

The team toasted their awards by dressing up and meeting at the salon for pizza on the night of the ceremony (as pictured above).
