Amey on behalf of Transport Scotland is undertaking essential maintenance of the road to improve its surface and to reduce the need for more maintenance in future.
The project is valued at £424,000.
A signed diversion will be in operation throughout the works, with traffic exiting the northbound M77 at Junction 5 and following the A77 Ayr Road north through Newton Mearns, before taking the A727 Rouken Glen Road west to re-join the M77 at Junction 3.
