AN APPLICATION has been submitted to North Ayrshire Council which would see the creation of six new amenity homes in Stevenston.
The development would be situated at the site of former sheltered housing in Afton Court.
The application is for a certificate of lawfulness which would allow developers to obtain a decision from the planning authority that the proposed development does not require planning permission.
The six homes would be comprised of two different blocks, of slightly different housing.
One block would include two one-bedroomed homes while the second would be made up of four two-bedroomed houses. Both blocks of accommodation would be only 1.5 storeys high.
The application for this certificate of lawfulness comes almost a year and a half after the North Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership held their initial consultation on the development.
The application was received on August 19, validated on August 24 and is currently pending consideration.
