RAISE Your Voice With Ardeer, the team behind the current Stevenston beach hub development, were delighted with their latest addition to their project.
In what was described as “a memorable day”, the charitable organisation was presented with a defibrillator for the hub.
This was donated by the St John Scotland as part of their defibrillator project after the Stevenston group were nominated by local man Kevin Fawcett to receive the life-saving equipment.
The defib was delivered on September 14 by Kevin himself, and as part of the donation, St John Scotland will be offering CPR training for all members of the public when the hub opens.
The donation was made in celebration of all the work done in the community by the late Shirley Morgan.
One Stevenston business commented on how this was a “wonderful donation in honour of a very special woman”.
The beach hub does not yet have an official opening date, but the team says it is making “excellent progress”.
