ARDEER Thistle boss Sean Kenney said his team “need to get back to winning ways” after a 3-2 defeat away to Forth Wanderers at the weekend.
Thistle enjoyed the best of the play in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead.
But the manager was not pleased after they conceded what he described as “three soft goals” - including a penalty - in the second half.
Ardeer netted a consolation second goal in the dying minutes of the game.
Kenney told Ardeer’s Facebook page: “It was really disappointing. The first half performance was excellent. At half time I told them ‘don’t be a 45 minute team’ but the goals that we lost were poor.
“We had to do better at all three of the goals we conceded. They were not good enough.
“We scored a goal near the end when, probably for the first time in the second half, we did what we had to do.
“Forth did their job. They changed it up in the second half and we didn’t deal with that. We didn’t deal with the weather conditions in the second half either.”
Ardeer face Maryhill next week and Kenney said: “We need to win a game of football. We just need to get back to winning ways. Once we do that, we’ll be fine.”
