An Ardrossan woman has put out an urgent appeal for her ill missing cat and is offering a £200 reward to anyone who finds her.

Abbie McGrath’s one year old mute cat Nellie, who is microchipped as Eleanor McGrath, weighs 3.5kg, has black and white fur, a white tip at the end of her tail, and distinctively has some shaved patches from recent IV’s.

Nellie is ill and needs access to her medication as soon as possible – making the search effort all the more pressing for owner Abbie.

Due to Nellie’s illness, her eyes can sometimes appear unusual.

Abbie has asked locals to check places such as sheds, garages, or even houses as Nellie is a shy and anxious cat who doesn’t like being outside for very long.

Nellie loves food and toys that make noises so anyone wishing to help with the search effort can use these to hopefully help attract her.

Anyone who finds Nellie, sees her, or thinks they know of her whereabouts should contact Abbie on 07752553921.
