Beavers with the Ardrossan Scout Group have exercised their creative skills by designing Christmas cards for the Royal British Legion’s Ardrossan branch.

The eight designs were drawn by kids aged between six and eight – whose names are printed on the backs of the card they designed - and depict sites and scenes from the Three Towns.

The cards illustrate looking out to sea on Ardrossan Beach; the Saltcoats Beach Pavilion; the tower and swing park in Saltcoats; Saltcoats Townhall; looking inland to the Windfarm in the hills in Ardrossan; Ardrossan Canon Hill; the old Barony Church; and Ardrossan Harbour and lighthouse.

A Legion spokesperson said: “It was a lot of fun to watch the eager Beavers develop their pictures and chat amongst themselves about colours and design, absolutely brilliant.

“You could even have a Christmas day competition to see if any of the family can identify the location of the scene.”

Members of the public can buy the cards from any committee member of SAS Branch, Ardrossan Print company on Princes Street, and from the Ardrossan Beavers at their Christmas fayre on November 26 at their Kilmeny Terrace base.

Cards cost only 70p and profits will go towards supporting both the Beavers and the Local RBLS Branch.
