Sense Scotland’s Ayrshire hub is holding its Christmas fayre later this month.

Members of the public can visit the Ardrossan TouchBase in Princes Street on Monday, November 28 between 5pm and 7.45pm for the chance to explore stalls of goods crafted by staff, people the charity supports, and young people involved with the youth group.

There will also be reindeer there that members of the public can see to add some special holiday magic to the festive season.

Joanne of the Ayrshire TouchBase said: “People can come along and get their photograph taken with reindeer and for a donation take that photograph away with them.

“It’s an opportunity for people to come in, have a look around the building, meet some of our staff, meet some of the people we support and do their Christmas shopping at the same time.

“This might be an opportunity for people who have been donating to us to come along and get a real sense of the organisation and that build-up to Christmas is always so nice in our services.”

Other than the Christmas fayre, Sense Scotland is holding a Christmas dog walking ‘Santa Paws’ event for people all over Scotland.

The fund-raising event asks dog owners to help raise funds for the charity by walking their pups – and it’s completely free to sign up for.

Anyone who raises over £50 will receive a medal as a reward.
