POLICE are appealing for anyone with information to come forward following an alleged disturbance in Kilwinning.
We contacted the force after hearing that a wooded area near Kilwinning Library had been cordoned off by officers.
Police Scotland have now confirmed they were acting following reports of a disturbance in the St. Winning's Road area of the town.
The incident occurred yesterday, November 20, and enquiries are still ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : "Officers were carrying out enquiries following reports of a disturbance which happened in St. Winning's Road in Kilwinning at 6.30pm on Sunday, 20 November, 2022.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 1106 of November 20."
