A SALTCOATS based dance troop are aiming to bring a little bit of competitive spirit to town ahead of the big Christmas carnival.

Dance Mafia have shared online a festive dance which they have created - and will demo on the night of the event, Sunday November 27.

And they are now inviting "mums, dads, grannies, grandpas, kids, colleagues and groups" to join in the festive spirit.

They have created an online challenge, with those up for it tasked with learning the troops moves and sharing this themselves, as they look to find out who has the best moves in the area.

The awesome dance can be found online on their TikTok - here - and Facebook - here - page.

To take part on TikTok, all users have to do is learn the dance and 'duet' Dance Mafia's video which is linked above. They should also tag Dance Mafia and the Saltcoats Christmas Carnival pages when they post their effort.

For those not on TikTok, you can still take part on Facebook.

All you have to do is, once again, learn the dance, record your effort, and share it on the social media platform - tagging both Dance Mafia and the Stalctoas Christmas Carnival page.

You only have until the day of the event to take part, before the winner is chosen, so it's time to get your dancing shoes on!
