The Ayrshire Hospice has announced plans for its Summer Ball next year.

The annual fundraising event will take place at Trump Turnberry Resort on Saturday, June 17.

The charity has also announced that Ayr-based Stonefield Estate Agents will be the event's principal sponsor.

According to organisers, "guests will be welcomed to the renowned hospice event with an arrival drinks reception in Turnberry’s beautiful Crystal Ballroom whilst taking in views across the Firth of Clyde, taking the opportunity to snap up a memento photograph before being whisked into an evening of top-class entertainment, delicious food and drink all whilst fundraising for a worthy cause with a number of fundraising activities with spectacular prizes up for grabs."

Tracy Flynn, Ayrshire Hospice's chief executive, said: “We are delighted to have the wonderful support of Richard, his family and his team at Stonefield Estate Agents as the principal sponsor for our 2023 Summer Ball at Trump Turnberry Resort.

"The Summer Ball is just one of the many magical events organised by our fund-raising team bringing together friends, family and colleagues, raising funds that are needed more than ever before.

“Events like these are so important. We could not provide the exceptional care for patients and their families without this community support.

"The fact that we can have a great time and celebrate life in the process is quite special.”

Richard Thomson, managing director of Stonefield Estate Agents, said: “We are honoured to be the principal corporate sponsor for the 2023 Hospice Summer Ball.

“As a family, we had first-hand experience of the outstanding work the Ayrshire Hospice does when my wife's mum was admitted for end-of-life care a number of years ago.

"The dignity and respect with which she was looked after, in addition to the endless emotional support for the family at this most vulnerable of times, was incredibly humbling to experience. A very special charity indeed, run by very special people.”

The evening will be hosted by Scots entertainer Alex Fleming, with other entertainment being announced in due course.

Tickets cost £95 per person and include an arrival drinks reception, a three-course dinner and a wonderful evening of entertainment.
