MUSIC fans are being offered a chance to get their hands on a unique piece of Scottish rock memorabilia - and help raise money for a good cause in Dalry.

The town's community larder is auctioning off a guitar signed by members of alternative rock band Del Amitri - who headlined the inaugural Making Waves festival in Irvine earlier this year - to raise funds for food and other essential items.

The auction, currently running on Ebay with a starting bid of £120, finishes at 7.15pm on Sunday, December 4.

The Fender acoustic guitar was hand signed by the band's lead singer Justin Currie and guitarist Iain Harvie at the time of the recording of their live Blu Ray Every Night Has A Dawn, which was filmed at Glasgow Barrowland on the final night of Del Amitri's 2022 tour.

Also included in the auction are two filming passes from the gig.

As a youngster, guitarist and songwriter Iain spent summer holidays with his gran who lived in Stoopshill Crescent in Dalry, so when he heard of the work carried out at the larder he was keen to help out.

The guitar was donated by the film production company, Shootback Productions, and signed by the band during the recording of the Blu Ray.

All money raised from the sale will go to Dalry Community Larder to provide food and essential items for families impacted by the current cost-of-living crisis.

The community larder, located in Dalry Community Centre, is open every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm until 8pm and on Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm.

Every Night Has A Dawn is released on Blu Ray and digitally on December 14.
