A KILWINNING fund-raiser has thanked kind residents hailing his 10th annual Christmas gift appeal for kids in Crosshouse as the best yet.

Organiser Michael Kirkum thanked everyone ahead of the handover to the ward – after the hospital requested Nintendo switch games, colouring books/crayons, baby teddies, baby comforters and the usual selection boxes.

He said: “This is my 10th year collection for Crosshouse children’s ward. It is the best yet and I’m humbled by your support each year.

“Times are tough for many with this cost of living crisis but you still dig deep and donate. Thank you is too small of a word for your generosity.

“I’d like to thank a few people for without their help each year this would not be possible: Ian Murdoch KK contracts, Alex and Karen Burns, AGB engineering, Paul Stevenston, George Taggart, Lyne Stevenson, Abbey Gates, Ewan McLaughlin, Graham Crawley, Stuart Bennet, Jacqueline Russell, Robert Kirk, Gareth Mclaughlin, Rikki Black, Alison Stitt, Billy Frew, Neil Brothers, On Fire for Driving, Lisa Ryan and all those people that took the time to buy and donate stuff. You’re amazing.”
