THE main road connecting West Kilbride and Dalry is currently closed following a crash.

Police confirmed that one vehicle was involved in the incident this morning, Monday January 9.

The B781 road has between West Kilbride and Dalry has been closed as a result of this, while recovery is arranged for the involved vehicle.

Officers have not stated whether anyone needed medical attention following the crash.

There is also no estimate as to when the road may reopen.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.35am on Monday, January 9, 2023, officers were called to a report of a single car crash on the B781 near West Kilbride. 

"The road remains closed while recovery is arranged.”

The B780 between Ardrossan and Dalry remains open.
