A SALTCOATS pub is aiming to brighten up what is typically a tough time of the year.

The Crown Inn on Chapelwell Street in Saltcoats will be running a 'January sale' next week, offering all of their draught pints for only £1.99.

The offer will run from Sunday, January 22 until Saturday, January 28 inclusive.

This will see drinks such as Guinness, Strongbow original and dark fruits, Stella Artoois, Tennent's, McEwan's, John Smith and Carlsberg reduced to far bvelow their usual price.

A spokesperson for the bar explained: "January is hard for everyone, so we at the Crown for one week only are giving something back."

The Crown Inn is open from 11am until 12am on Mondays, Tuesdays and Friday, from 12p,-12am on Wednesdays and Thursday, from 11am-1am Friday and Saturday and 12.30pm-12am on a Sunday.
