THREE people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash near Beith on Friday night (January 27).

Two men and a woman were injured following the serious road crash about a mile south of the Manrahead roundabout on the A737, between Beith and Dalry.

Police were called to the incident at around 7.40pm and the road was closed for almost six hours after the coliision involving two Ford Transit vans, one silver and one white.

The road was reopened at around 1.30am.

Sergeant Stewart Taylor said: “Enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who seen the silver van on the road before the crash took place to contact us.

“I would also be keen to obtain any dashcam from drivers on this area of road around the time of the crash on Friday evening.

“Anyone with information that may assist is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 3352 of January 27.”
