A West Kilbride musician who studied at a prestigious music school in London will perform in North Ayrshire next week.

Flautist Aimee Taylor, who trained at The Royal College of Music [RCM], will be showcasing her skills in Irvine’s Wellwood Burns Centre & Museum on March 8.

She will be accompanied by acclaimed Polish multi-instrumentalist and fellow RCM alumni Dominika Maszczyńska.

A spokesperson for organisers Music@wellwood said: “[We are] delighted to welcome back flautist Aimee Taylor who has performed for us on several occasions and has brought some of her musical friends with her.

“At Aimee's next concert on Wednesday, March 8, she will be joined by Polish-born Dominika Maszczyńska, who performs on a variety of keyboard instruments including fortepiano and harpsichord as well as modern piano.

“They will perform a varied programme of music - something for everyone.”

Adding to her educational achievements, Aimee has also earned a Bachelor of Arts in music from Oxford University while Dominika previously studied at Poland’s top music school, The Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music.

Since graduating, the musicians have enjoyed successful careers with Aimee working across the globe and Dominika becoming a fellow at the Royal College of Music.

The concert will start at 7.30pm with tickets available for £10 at the door.

Free refreshments at the interval are included with the ticket.
