FUN will once again be on the agenda in Ardrossan this summer, as an annual event returns for the first time since 2019.

It comes as organisers have confirmed the Ardrossan Winton Rovers Summer Fete will make its triumphant return.

To be held at Winton Park in the town on Saturday, May 27, Winton chairman Pat Breen told the Herald he is delighted that the event is coming back.

He added: “It’s a big event for the community and it’s a big event for the club.”

It means a return of popular events held throughout the day, which will begin at 12pm, such as their dig show, football tournament, dance performances, stalls, a fun fayre, live music and so much more.

While a new event is to take place this year, with the Ardrossan Community Sports Hub set to organise a fun run around the Ardrossan Castle as part of this year's proceedings.

Full details of the event will be released at a later date - though it's safe to say the community can get excited for the popular event once again.
