A MAN has been arrested after drugs with a street value of around £120,000 were seized in Ardrossan.

Police were in attendance in the Chapelhill Mount area of the town on Friday, April 14, when the discovery was made.

Officers from the Ayrshire proactive crime team executed a warrant at an address in the street.

Cannabis plants and herbal cannabis with a street value of £120,000 were seized.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with this, and he is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court today, Monday April 17.

Sergeant Terry McEwan said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to tracking down those responsible for the supply of illegal substances.
