A MAN has appeared in court in connection with a reported £120,000 drugs raid in Ardrossan.
Over the weekend, Ayrshire police announced that they had recovered cannabis plants and herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £120,000 from a property in the Chapelhill Mount area of the town.
Officers from Police Scotland's Ayrshire proactive crime team executed a warrant at an address in the street on Friday, April 14.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident - and made his first appearance at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court yesterday - Monday April 17.
Danile Seferi made no plea and was committed for further examination.
He has been remanded in custody until his next appearance at court in the next week.
Mr Seferi, who has no fixed abode, faced three charges when he appeared in court.
One relates to the alleged production of controlled drugs, and another to the alleged supply of such a drug.
The last charge is under section 31 of the Electricity Act 1989 and relates to the alleged altering of an electricity meter.
