ARDROSSAN'S Winton Park was rocking at the weekend as the CSDA Dance Academy took over the ground for a fund-raising event.

They staged a football match between the North Ayrshire dance school's dads, as well as dance displays on the Winton Rovers pitch, which attracted a large crowd.

It was a great day for all the family with raffles, bottle stalls, tombola, beat the goalie, cake stalls, face painting, arts and crafts and a bouncy castle.

The game itself was good viewing for all - an 11-goal thriller which ended 6-5 to the team in white.

The sun shone for the big event - and most importantly, it raised £5,000 for the dance school's funds.

There was even a particularly familiar Three Towns face taking part - as wrestler and TV star Grado took to the field to help with the fund-raising effort.

However, reports from the game suggest Grado may not be switching career any time soon - with one other player suggesting he went almost the whole of the first half without touching the ball.

A delighted spokesperson for CSDA said on Facebook: "A huge thank you - Winton Park was packed.

"Our dancers danced amazing, our football teams were fab.

"A huge thank you to our fundraising committee and parents who helped make today such a success and to all businesses who donated prizes.
