TWO well-loved North Ayrshire firms have been honoured at the Scottish Baker of the Year awards.
Irvine's Bakery, who operate in Beith, Kilbirnie and Dalry, took home a national bronze award for their chicken and black pudding pie. They also won a gold regional award for the delicacy and for their toffee biscuits, as well as a regional bronze award for their Scotch morning rolls.
Meanwhile Saltcoats, West Kilbride and Kilwinning bakers The Kandy Bar won National bronze awards for their Scotch morning rolls and their potato scones.
Their morning rolls also won a regional silver award, while theur party faced biscuits won a regional bronze award.
Both bakeries are also serial winners of the Scotch Pie Championships, having won world titles in the past.
