More than 40 bags of rubbish were collected by volunteers in a mass beach clean in Seamill.
Litter pickers tackled a two mile stretch of beach armed with bin bags, and picked up 43 bags worth of rubbish.
Organiser Audrey Kolon says the day was a huge success, and has thanked the community for coming out to help.
She said: “We collected only 43 bags of rubbish on a two mile stretch of beach. Three years ago it was 135 bags of rubbish so things are getting better.
“As usual we had great support from the community service team and North Ayrshire Council Streetscene.
“I can’t begin to thank all my lovely friends who support me in the community. You know who you are.”
