An Ardrossan thug assaulted two police officers after jumping out into the path of an oncoming car and brandishing a bottle at the driver.
Martin Galbraith also poured liquid on to the road in a bid to stop the vehicle moving off.
The 22-year-old appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner during an incident in Parkhouse Road in Ardrossan on February 14 this year.
Galbraith also admitted assaulting police.
The charges to which Galbraith pleaded guilty stated that he entered the roadway into the path of an oncoming vehicle, forcing the driver to stop.
He then made an offensive gesture, seizing hold of the vehicle, while brandishing a bottle.
Galbraith then followed the vehicle, trying to open the doors, and uttering threats.
He went on to pour a quantity of liquid - the nature of which was not specified - on to the road in a bid to stop the vehicle moving off.
Galbraith further admitted assaulting two police officers in the execution of their duty by kicking out at the two cops who were called to respond to the incident.
Not guilty pleas to other allegations were accepted by prosecutors.
Sentence was deferred and Galbraith, previously of Ardneil Court in Ardrossan but now listed in court papers as a resident of Tantallon Drive, Paisley, will return to court at a later date.
