Ayrshire families in need can get 1p food bundle deliveries during the cost of living crisis.

Grocery delivery app Snappy Shopper have teamed up with more than 40 retailers across Scotland - including four shops in Ayrshire - to help communities suffering most during the crisis.

Ayrshire stores taking part in the initiative are Premier, Saltcoats; Costcutter in Barassie; Day Today in Coylton; and Keystore in Shortlees, Kilmarnock.

The bundles - containing some of the nation’s best known brand names - will allow families to worry less about feeding their children over the summer holiday period.

The summer-long promotion kicks off today (Wednesday, June 14) with the ‘1p Big Brand Bundle’ where customers can get some of the nation’s top products for the price of a penny.

June’s collection of 1p bundles boast a variety of essential products as well as summer holiday treats and big brand goodies.

The promotion will finish on July 5 with the ‘1p Cupboard Fillers Bundle’ - a package of cupboard fillers including pasta, crisps and beans - meaning shoppers can stock up on everyday household items all for just 1p.

Mike Callachan, CEO of Snappy Shopper, said: “We believe in the power of community and during these challenging times, it is vital for us to lend a helping hand.

“These promotions offer customers an incredible opportunity to access a diverse range of products for just 1p, not only addressing affordability concerns but also supporting local businesses.

“Our goal is to foster a sense of unity and support within our communities, demonstrating that together, we can overcome any hurdle.

“Snappy Shopper is committed to making a positive impact, and these 1p bundle promotions will do just that.”
