POLICE have launched an investigation after a van window was smashed in Stevenston.
Reports on social media claimed that the incident - which took place in Cambuskeith Road early in the morning of Wednesday, June 21 - was an attempted theft.
Police Scotland say an inquiry has been launched, but did not confirm whether it was being treated as an attempted theft.
A force spokesperson said: “We received a report of a window of a van being smashed on Cambuskeith Road, Stevenston, around 7.20am on Wednesday, 21 June, 2023.
“Enquiries are at an early stage.”
