Drive-in gospel services are set to continue in Eglinton Country Park in July.

Bridgend Gospel Hall, Kilwinning, held weekly services in the park during June - and they proved very successful.

Secretary Hamilton Welsh revealed: "We had a very good response to the drive-in meetings over the four Sundays in June and as a result we have decided to extend them into the last four Sundays in July (i.e. July 9, 16, 23 and 30).

"On Sunday, July 2 we will have a change of format and have a 'Friends and Neighbours' meeting in Bridgend Gospel Hall commencing at 3pm which will be followed by tea, coffee and home baking.

"Again, there is an open invitation to all to attend with no charge or obligation associated with attending any of these events."

Turn up in your car and the stewards will direct you to where to park for the service, which commences on each of the Sundays at 3 pm.

Then just roll down your windows and listen to the short service which will be relayed on loudspeakers and should last for around 30 minutes.

For safety reasons all cars should remain stationary with engines switched off until the end of the service after which the stewards will then direct you in turn to the exit.
