TICKETS are now on sale for a popular annual event held in Ardrossan.

Ardrossan Academicals RFC have been hosting their real ale and music festival for a number of years.

The event offers an excellent opportunity for those in attendance to sample fine Scottish ales with the best young musicians Ayrshire has to offer.

It has now been confirmed that this year's edition of the event will take place on Saturday, July 22.

Hoping to take advantage of the fine Scottish summer weather, this year's festival will feature a number of acts new to the stage in Ardrossan - with The Verces the only act returning from 2022.

In a break in tradition, the club have gone outside Ayrshire for their headline act as Ellis Studios, who assist in organising the event, were able to secure the wonderful Tom Hingley, former Inspiral Carpets frontman.

Held at the club's home ground, The Memorial Field on Sorbie Road, local artists The Shores, Phoenix Falls, Jodie Rae and Lori M will also be performing.

Doors for the event will open at 3pm on July 22, with music starting at a later time of 5pm.

The club are also proud to be supporting local charity Megan’s Space at this year's event.

For those interested in the ale - there will also be a CAMRA preview evening for the Real Ale Festival on Friday, July 21, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are currently available at a price of £10 - and are selling fast. If you would like to come along, these can be purchased online at tinyurl.com/AcciesFestival.
