A TRAILER carrying machinery remains in a Dalry field after becoming detached from a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV).
It follows local reports that a "lorry had crashed" on the B784 road between the town and Largs.
One concerned local contacted us to inform us of the incident, which saw the road closed for around five hours yesterday, Monday, July 10.
They stated that the vehicle remained in the field on the first bend on the road, nearly 24 hours after the alleged crash.
Police Scotland confirmed this morning that it was not a crash, adding that a trailer attached to a HGV had become detached.
They added that no one had been injured as a result of the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.30pm on Monday, July 10, officers were called to the B784 near Dalry following a report of a trailer carrying machinery having become detached from an HGV.
“The road was closed and re-opened around 8.30pm.”
“There were no reports of any injuries.”
