Ardrossan Castle Heritage Society will be holding a family day at North Ayrshire Heritage Centre in Saltcoats at the weekend.
The event is on Saturday, July 29 from 11am-1pm and 2-4pm.
There will be dress up costumes, arts and crafts, face painting and much more take place on the day.
The family day is running alongside the Castle Heritage Society's current exhibition in the Heritage Centre.
Members of the society will be on hand to talk to you about the history of the castle and they work they have been doing.
The society is now celebrating 10 years of existence and in that time they have championed Ardrossan Castle through talks, tours, archaeological digs and a host of community events, such as the hugely successful Ardrossan Carnival.
The exhibition includes interviews with members of the society, a wide array of costume, archaeological artefacts, the Declaration of Arbroath signatories map (researched and created by the society, documenting all those who signed the Declaration of Arbroath) - and even features a large papier-mâché head of William Wallace.
The exhibition is running until the end of September, so pop along and learn all about this wonderful North Ayrshire community group and the castle they champion so passionately.
Who knows, maybe you will be inspired to join?
