A CALL has gone out to North Ayrshire residents to help re-establish six dormant community councils across the area.
North Ayrshire Council (NAC) is looking for people who want to make a real difference in their local area - as well as influencing the decision-makers at NAC itself.
At the moment, there are no active community councils in six areas Ardrossan; Dalry; Dreghorn; Girdle Toll and Bourtreehill; Saltcoats; and Springside.
For anyone from these areas, the council are offering assistance if you want to be the person to get this up and runnning.
If you're interested in re-establishing a community council in your area you can contact NAC's committee and member services team on 01294 324132 or committeeservices@north-ayrshire.gov.uk to find out more.
